I took a sculpture class from Crystal Morey last summer and had a really wonderful time playing with clay. The class had an emphasis on self portraiture... I think mine is close. It was more reflective of how I was feeling after a particularly tumultuous day.

ReplyDeleteShe was made with Navajo clay (if I remember right), which is really red/orange. She's about 14" high, 10" wide at the shoulders and 7" deep from the back of the head to her nose. I painted her with really watery acrylics in several washes. She's covered all over in a kind of gold tone.
